Jumping Baby Ashtyn, This is Why We Call Her "Crazy Baby"

We had a great time taking pictures up the canyon by our house. Brooke took them. She did great. I love my husband and my baby so much!

Remi wanted LaaLaa and Po to be in on the action.

Remi the Chicken/Duck

Remi and Ellie

Ellie saw her duck the next day in the tub and said, "Memi!" Remi had such a fun Halloween. She loved trick or treating. They would open the door and she would walk right in the house and start looking around and say, "trick or treat."

Dancing with Remi

Lance figured if he danced Remi into the picture she would be trying to get down when Brooke took it.

Remi and Her Daddy

Remi started saying, "I love daddy, I love mama, I love etc." for everyone she loves.

Family Pictures

Happy Girl

Remi had so much fun running around it was hard to get her to hold still for a picture. I think she was opening her mouth for a raisin.

Cascade Springs

Remi really wanted to wear her "nikes". She kept saying nikes, nikes but they were dirty so I didn't really want her to wear them, so Mr. White Shoes (Lance) got out his toothbrush and soap brush and cleaned them for her. It was priceless.

Pretty Eyes

Remi does this when we say "show me your pretty eyes!"

Brooke took 360 pictures of us at Cascade Springs so it was really hard to decide which ones to post. She does a great job and we had a lot of fun!

Remi is so fun!

Remi is at such a fun stage. I usually write a ton about her in her baby book but I decided to blog it instead. Don't feel obligated to read everything. Remi loves to sing. She sings Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star - Twinkle, how I won, up above high, Happy Birthday to you, Popcorn Popping with actions, Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes with actions, Jesus Said Love Everyone - Jesus love every, treat, kind, heart (She leaves out a few words), Moon, Moon, Moon shining bright, Swimming Swimming, MNWXYZ, Hallelujah (she says angel singing) and she does the actions to the wise man built his house on the rock. She also sings Signing Time, it is her favorite show and she is always learning new signs. She tried to teach Brayden to sign shoes. She said, "Brayden, signing time, shoes" and tapped her fists together. She also said, "''Brayden prayers!" and tried to get him to fold his arms for prayers.

She loves shapes. She knows triangle, heart, star, circle, moon and square. She loves to draw copters and airplanes and can identify them if she hears them in the house. She also loves watercycles (motorcycles) and can also identify them.

Remi loves bikes. I taught her that Daddy went to work everyday to make money to buy stuff. She always says Daddy work money. The other day in the car she said, "Daddy, work, money, Remi, bicycle." So cute. She loves popcicles and calls them yellow or orange pocalo. She loves colors too and likes to tell us what color everything is, sometimes she is accurate sometimes not. She loves being outside and always gets my shoes and brings them to me so we can go "side."

We finally quit nursing at 20 months! I figured it was time and she stuck her hand down the shirt of Brittany, Grandma and Grandpa Arnout, and Lance asking them for milk. She also said, "Mama two milks." She did really good and only attacked me in the tub a few times. She likes numbers and can count to ten (with a few numbers missing). She also counts in Spanish and knows several Spanish words, mariposa, sapo, casa, cama, amiga, amigo, etc. She loves to talk about her amigas Ellie, Annie, Abby, Mia, Joanna, Kyle, McKay Brigham, I am sure there are more, I just can't think right now. Her thing now is to say, Daddy happy, Daddy sad, Daddy crying or Remi happy or Mama happy or tired or sleeping etc. She is a two word girl for the most part working us to three and four word stretches.

Remi loves Daddy, I can't believe how excited she gets when she hears the garage door open. It is so cute to see. Then a lot of times Lance has to do some work in his office right when he gets home so we close the door. It is the saddest cry I have ever seen, this quiet little whimper, Daddy, Daddy. Lance is a great dad and spends a lot of time playing with her.

Remi loves to pop Lance's back and says "tickle back." She also loves to do yoga andI'm pretty sure she has invented some of her own poses. I will have to get some pics of her doing them.

Tanner and Amanda have been staying with us and she loves them. We were eating pizza and we ate it and were waiting for her to finish. She ate hers and then said, more pizza, in the sweetest little voice, we felt so bad because we had eaten it all.
One night Tanner taught her to say "I'm high maintenance." The next day she was saying, "high maintenance" all day.

I have tried every sleep technique possible and Remi still wakes up one to two times a night. When we have people here it is hard to let her cry so I started going in her room and singing to her. As soon as I would go in, she would say, "chair, singing" or "mama, sing". That worked for a few nights, then she wanted to start talking about things. She would tell me everyone she could think of who was sleeping. She would say, "Mama tired." One night she said, "Daddy haircut" because Lance had just gotten a haircut. Then she said, "Mama, Kar haircut" because Kara did my hair about a month ago and she still talks about it.

We love her so much, life keeps getting more and more fun with the cute little doll!

The Sheep Dog Hill

My mom took this picture of Brooke and I thought it looked so cool.

The International Sheep Dog Competion at Soldier Hollow

Mom, Brooke, Sally, Ethan, Chandler, Ian, Faith and Remi and I had a great time. It was cold, then it rained, then it got really hot. We had a lot of fun as you can see by this picture

Thirsty Horse

The horse really wanted the water, the stroller and even nipped at Faith.

Faith

My youngest sister, 5 months younger than Remi!

Splash Dogs

The dog jumping contest was pretty fun, kind of like the running long jump for dogs and we all love the running long jump. Thanks to Brooke's camera we have these fabulous pics.

Remi loved the ducks, horsies, doggies and sheep.

It was so cold but doesn't she look cute!

Chandler, Remi and Faith

Chandler is such a good big brother and uncle. Faith loves him and Remi does too.

Kissing!

They fought alot over toys. Remi said share anytime Faith went near her stuff. Share to Remi means, everything is mine! but they still love each other.

Happy Birthday Lance!

Doesn't he look hot. He still looks this good! We actually got engaged two days before Lance's birthday three years ago. I am so grateful for Lance and love him more everyday. He is a great husband and father!

Brian, my dad, and Karen, Lance's mom enjoying the party. Mark, (Lance's dad), Sally, Ian, Mike, Matt, and Ben Pelo were all there too.

Remi was very excited about Lance's cake and candles.

Happy Birthday Lance

Lance's birthday was Friday August 29. The Pelos heart attacked our room. There were hearts everywhere. Remi loved it and they even left some in her bed. She kept saying "daddy birthday heart."

Laundry.

Remi loves to help fold and put away clothes. I find her shirts in the washcloth basket and other random places!

Olivia

I got to see one of my best friends in the world, Katie Griffin, after not seeing her for two years! This is her oldest Olivia, she has two boys Reese and Seth Jr.

Lava Hot Springs

Brittany and Sydney

Lava Hot Springs

I didn't get many pictures but we had a really fun Heaton Family Reunion. I went down the river with Remi, she screamed the whole time but it was still fun and funny.

Remi loves to Swing

Remi begs everyday to swing and bounce. Unfortuneately we have no swing or trampoline Luckily Grandma did! and so do our neighbors.

Remi loves Wally and Dukie.

Karen and Mark have two little doggies that Remi goes nuts over.

The Cart

She still loves pushing this cart.

Another Hat Picture

Remi with her first loves, LaLa and Po.

Remi started watching Teletubbies at about twelve months, she would beg to watch it first by saying baby, then she added please in sign language, then it was LaLa, please. Thankfully she's moved on but it did provide some sanity for me and especially Lance.

Arnout and Friends Family Reuion aka Midway Madness

We had an awesomely fun reunion with Lance's family and friends, unfortunately I could not find my camera the entire weekend! We did get some pics however, thanks Aaron. The men enjoyed golfing, boating and lounging. The women made lotion, shopped and went swimming. The kids rode their bikes and went boating. We all had so much fun together.

Arnout and Friends Family Reuion

Lance and Mark (dad)

Travis and Dustie

Baby Powder

The Mess

The Culprit.

Then she got her hand stuck in the wipes container. It was devastating.

Running Arnound Outside!

Lance showed Remi how fun it was to run around on the grass. It was her first time. She is always, always in a swimsuit these days. She even sleeps in it and bathes in it. We are a little indulgent but if we don't let her wear it she carries it around crying, "miming, miming."

Happy Birthday Maddie

Hannah, Molly, Brittany, Sally, Lizzie, Brooke, and me (no makeup)!

Remi had a bad fall and skinned her nose.

We had a great time at Maddie's bday party. I think Remi thought it was her party again!

Happy 18 Months, Remi!

We had a little 18 month bday party for Remi, July 3rd. She liked it a lot more than when she turned one, especially the blowing out the candles. Hot!

At The Pelos

Melody, Ellie, and Brigham

Remi with her best friend Ellie. She loves to go to their house because they have swings, a piano, kitties and a trampoline. We just put her in the swing in the backyard and push her. She'll stop and start crying so we ask her if she wants to get out and she'll say "no, push!"

Remi loves her new sunglasses. Thanks Aunt Kelly.

Swimming!

Remi loves being thrown up in the air and landing with a big splash. She doesn't mind get her face wet or getting dunked.

Remi loves sitting on the step (chair) by herself because she feels like a big girl.

Remi loved the boat. After we swimming Lance was reading scriptures and he read bow, Remi said bo bo, because she thought he was talking about a boat.

Hat!

Remi loves hats and pats her head everytime she says hat.

Posing in her swimming suit.

Our Yard

We are getting our yard done little by little. Lance works so hard on it!

Remi swimming inside!

Remi loves the pool table.

Remi loves to crawl all over the table and move the balls from hole to hole.

Lance worked so hard down here and it looks awesome! We love it.

We love our little girl!

This is a silly but common facial expression.

She Can Walk

Remi can walk now, she got her confidence pushing this cart around. Thanks Melody Pelo.

But what she really likes to do is go for rides on the cart. Lance taught her that trick and now I spend a considerable amount of time pushing her around.

LaLa

Lance and Remi watching Teletubbies, This is what they do if I ever leave them home together.

Lance got Remi this Lala headband, she loves to put it on and look in the mirror, She's LaLa!

Remi's Room

Coming soon, pictures from the basement that Lance has been workind so hard on finishing!

I did a little painting in Remi's room, so it would match her bedding better. The flowers and birds are from her bedding and I like turtles. Remi says turtle now, it sounds more like tur tel. She also says bird.

Remi showing off her awesome standing abilities.

That water looks really nice.

Brittany had a birthday party for Benj at Jon and Tresa's pool. Remi really wanted to get in the water.

Swimming

Remi loves the water, she was splashing, kicking and swimming until...the slide.

Going to the Slide

Down the Slide

She was crying when Lance was at the top of the slide, needless to say she didn't like it.

Mama!

After Remi came down the slide she wanted nothing to do with Lance, she kept saying Mama, Mama and had a death grip on my neck.

And Then She Fell Asleep

It got really cold, really fast so I wrapped Remi up and she slept on the grass.

Drawing Babies

Remi loved it when we drew babies for her (ex: upper right corner). One day I noticed that she was drawing the same thing over and over. I asked her what it was and she said baby....

So for my birthday Lance had Remi draw babies on a card for me. SO Sweet!

One of Remi's new things is drawing all over herself.

Remi loves Jesus.

Remi says Jesa. Lance showed her the new Ensign last night with the new Ist presidency and told her President Monson was the prophet. Today she pointed to it and said prophet pretty clearly.

Remi kissing Baby Faith.

Remi loves to kiss babies.

Doing Dishes

Remi loves to help me with dishes, putting away laundry, stirring food and breaking eggs. She really does help!

She's a Little Bit Nerdy

Remi loves to take Lance's glasses off his face and wear them.

Reading Her Scriptures

Remi likes to go to sleep at night holding the Book of Mormon.

Remi loves the Book of Mormon. She flips through it and looks at the pictures especially of Jesus (sesus).

Along with praying Remi also likes to read the Ensign. We wanted to read out of it for family home evening last Monday but she cried every time we took it away from her so we had to read something else.

Praying

The last month or so Remi has started folding her arms and saying pay pay every morning, night and whenever she sees food. She is such a good girl!

Let It Snow

Lance doesn't have to work out. He sweats more doing this.

Remi doesn't really like the cold that much and she refuses to touch the snow

Lance had to shovel a lot of snow so we could get our mail.

Remi's First Birthday

January 3, 2008

I though Remi would dig into the cake but she wouldn't touch it. I had some problems with the cake, I tried to dump it out of the pan and it fell apart.

Remi's First Christmas

We celebrated Christmas at the Arnout's. Remi had a great time mainly chasing Duke and Wally (the little dogs) around the house.

Molly, Remi, and Faith

All the sisters Brooke, Tosha, Hannah, Summer, Brittany, Sally, Echo and Faith

Eating an Apple Core

Remi fell asleep eating the apple on the couch sitting up so I laid her in her bed and took this cute picture

Eating a Pear

She ate the whole pear!

Remi loves kitties and Grandma

Outside at Grandma and Grandpa Arnouts

Sleepy Baby

Remi and Brayden

Remi loves to pat babies and tell them about LaLa (Teletubbies).

BYU basketball

Remi got all dressed up for the game and really enjoyed it. We had to sneak the headband on as we got out the car and she left it on for about half of the game. She was smiling at all the people around us and clapping every time everyone cheered. She also said ba ba alot. That means ball.

Remi actually watched alot of the game.

Kind of a funky picture. The camera was on a night setting.

What am I doing in here?

Remi loves her little yellow seat. She spends hours in it which is a huge blessing and of course she has to feed herself. We usually strip her down before feeding her.

Remi has six teeth now. That equals about 20 nights of all night whining. But it was worth it, look how cute she looks. And she can go through graham crackers in no time with those little biters.

Our Little Kitty

Remi loves kitties so she was a kitty/tiger for Halloween. Lance had to hold her down to get the whiskers on but once we wiped her tears and showed her the finished product in the mirror, she was all smiles. She loved looking at herself in the mirror all night.
